Privacy Policy

The short version: we don't collect your personal data. Everything you put into Uplift Tracker stays on your iPhone.

What stays on your device

Your watch history and ticked episodes, ratings, notes and takeaways, mood check-ins and the mood journal, your profile (name, nickname, birthday, schedule, family members and preferences) and your profile photo are stored only on your iPhone. We never receive them. If you make a backup, the file is saved where you choose (for example in the Files app) and is yours.

Movie and show information

To show titles, episodes, ratings and where to watch, the app asks our server for movie and show information. Our server only sees which title or search is requested and standard technical data that every internet request carries, such as your IP address. We don't store this, don't log it beyond what our hosting provider keeps by default, and never link it to you. Our server is run on Cloudflare, which processes this technical data to deliver and protect the service under its own privacy policy.

Our server gets the information from TMDB (The Movie Database). TMDB sees our server, not you. Posters, episode images and streaming logos load directly from TMDB's public image servers, which, like any website, receive your IP address when your device downloads an image. Streaming availability is provided by JustWatch through TMDB.

No ads, no tracking, no selling

The app has no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, and no third-party SDKs. We don't sell, rent or share data, because we don't have any.

Notifications, photos, camera and Face ID

If you allow notifications, they are scheduled on your iPhone itself. If you choose a profile photo or take one with the camera, it is stored only in the app on your iPhone and never uploaded. If you turn on the Face ID lock, Face ID is handled by iOS; the app never sees your face data.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, you're always in control. Use Mood › Settings › My data › Delete everything to erase your history, mood journal, takeaways and profile, or simply delete the app. Backup files you saved elsewhere can be deleted like any other file.

Children

Uplift Tracker is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect any information from children. Family mode helps adults pick titles to watch together.

The mood feature

Mood check-ins and estimates are a personal reflection tool, not a medical tool, and nothing about them leaves your device. If you're in crisis in the US, you can call or text 988 at any time.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
